Eilon Sheetrit (אילון שטרית)

Welcome to my personal page!
I hold a Ph.D. from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology.
I conducted a research in Information Retrieval under the supervision of Professor Oren Kurland.  My thesis focuses on the use of sub-document units for document and passage retrieval.
I am interested in Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, Data Science and their application to Information Retrieval.

• • Improving the effectiveness of document retrieval by utilizing rich sources of passage-based information. My paper “A Passage-Based Approach to Learning to Rank Documents” (co-authored with Anna Shtok and Oren Kurland) has been accepted for publication in Information Retrieval Journal!
  • My summer internship work at Yahoo! research has accepted for publication at the ICTIR’21! The paper “Recommending Search Queries in Documents Using Inter N-Gram Similarities” is co-authored with Yaroslav Fyodorov, Fiana Raiber and Oren Kurland
